Problem

Student behavior problems prevent academic progress. They also lead to staff turnover, increased need for paraprofessionals, and sometimes even law suits. All of these issues ultimately affect student and teacher wellbeing, as well as school district budgets.

Solution

I created a short, scenario-based interaction that will allow teachers to experience the process of identifying the function of behavior. By identifying the function, or cause, of the behavior teachers will be able to create targeted interventions.
